Mob Love Is Real

What is mob love you may ask?

Well, thanks to a brilliant idea from my friend Tamara, and all my other friends who laugh at the expensive of my comical yet horrible love life....I decided to write a blog about love, my relationships, and other peoples stories and thoughts.

For starters, the name has a deep, symbolic meaning.

Not really.

I want to date a guy who's in the mob. No joke. Ok, well I'd like to not have my life threatened at every moment like on the Sopranos, but I want a bad ass guy with a big Italian family and exciting, yet dangerous behavior.

To be very specific my dream guy would be a current or ex Marine, who is Italian, who has a Jewish mother from Brooklyn, and we live in Chicago and we're in the mob.

Seriously. It pretty much covers all my favorite things...

1. Chicago is my FAVORITE CITY EVER. I'd like to live there someday

2. The Marine part is perfect for giving me a dominant, manly man. I'm a very dominant and independent person, so I want someone who is more so than me.

3.The Jewish Brookyln mother part pretty much covers delicious food and that great New York/Brooklyn/Jersey/Jewish accent that I love i.e. SNL's Coffee Talk or Style's Jerseylicious. I'd love my mother in law to be like " Ohhh Bubala I'll make ya Matzo ball". Awesome.

4.The Italian/Mob part works great with the old school Jazzy dangerous Chicago ideal I love, and the big family all full of love and meatballs. My dream.

So...how did this crazy ideal for a life partner come about?

Idk, I like the idea of a manly man. But don't get me wrong, I totally want him to be sweet too. Like a little rough in the bedroom, a fight or two in the kitchen, and then we back a cake and cuddle and watch a movie together.

Wow...I really am kinda a f**ked up individual.

But it's true....I want a best friend and a lover...just a guy with a major edge and a soft side. Of course, if you knew my complete dating history up to date, you would probably understand my reasoning for a relationship like the one I described above. It's really a very funny story!! But that's for another night & another blog...

Btw, I love the Boondock Saints movies and I'm a tad obsessed with Celtic music and the culture....so an Irish Marine in the mob would be great too. I'd just probably end up in Boston instead of Chi-town.
